I have been fortunate to locate passionate winemakers producing fine wines in near obscurity from the broad wine-consuming community. These wines are outstanding quality and price point. Top to bottom are Barnard Griffin Rose of Sangiovese, which is also in the glass in the front showing off its vibrant pink hue and crisp, refreshing taste. It's that time of year; wine judging season. This year I was lucky enough to be a part of our most important local wine competition as a judge, sampling and evaluating a wide variety of wines from around the world.

From a wedding in Ein Iron, to a local cocktail cart and a boutique winery specializing in natural fermentation wines, there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered in the world of wine. Independent wineries are often home to some of the best wines on the market. With so many options out there, it can be hard to know where to start. But with a little exploration and a willingness to try something new, you may just uncover your new favorite bottle.

The Snake River Valley AVA is a high desert with big temperature changes from day to night, creating a balance of natural sugars and acids that result in unique and flavorful wines. Marsaryk Winery is a family-owned and operated gem located at 19125 Phillips Rd. in Masaryktown, offering a range of delicious wines made with care and dedication.

If you're looking for a fun and exciting way to explore hidden gem wines, consider attending events like the Ballers last homestand of the season, Speed Friending, and the Worst Film Fest Ever. And don't forget to try dozens of eateries and unlimited wine and beer samples at events like the Coors Wine and Food Festival, where you can peruse gems and fossils from over 500 exhibitors or catch a concert.

In a world where big-name wineries often dominate the market, it's important to remember that there are countless hidden gems waiting to be discovered. So next time you're in the mood for a glass of wine, why not take a chance on something new and explore the world of boutique wineries off the beaten path? You may just find your new favorite bottle.
