Napa Valley Grape Growers Celebrate Success of 2023 Vintage

Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG) and Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) are gearing up for their annual event to be held on April 13 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in Napa, CA. The event will celebrate the success of the 2023 vintage, which is being hailed as one of the best years ever in wine country.

Ferguson presented charts showing that between September of 2022 and August of 2023, 40 percent of planted Napa wine grape acreage was not only harvested but produced exceptional quality fruit. This high percentage is a testament to the dedication and skill of the grape growers in the region.

ST. HELENA, Calif., (Dec. 4, 2023) - Vintners in Napa Valley are basking in the success of the 2023 harvest, which was the longest growing season in a decade. The extended season allowed for optimal ripening of the grapes, resulting in wines of exceptional quality.

Domaine Chandon in Yountville began harvesting for its sparkling varietals on August 24. The early start to the harvest season was a strategic move to ensure that the grapes were picked at the peak of ripeness, leading to the production of high-quality sparkling wines.
