Full Glass Wine Co., the powerhouse DTC parent brand behind beloved wine brands such as Winc, Wine Insiders, and Bright Cellars, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Splash Wines and Scout & Cellar. This move solidifies Full Glass Wine Co.'s position as a major player in the direct-to-consumer wine market.

Similar to the proliferation of meal kit startups a few years back, the wine industry saw a surge in the creation of novel wine clubs aimed at making it easier for consumers to discover new wines and expand their palates. Full Glass Wine Co.'s acquisition of Splash Wines and Scout & Cellar is a strategic move to capitalize on this trend and provide consumers with a wider range of options.

A few months after acquiring Winc and Wine Insiders, Full Glass Wine Co is buying its third DTC wine company. This acquisition spree is part of Full Glass Wine Co.'s strategy to dominate the direct-to-consumer wine market and offer consumers a curated selection of high-quality wines.

“It's a win-win strategy — consumers get the joy of discovering a valuable new brand and receiving a gift, while advertisers tap into a highly targeted audience of wine enthusiasts,” says a source familiar with the acquisition.

Full Glass Wine's D2C portfolio now includes Winc, Wine Insiders, Splash Wines, and Scout & Cellar. This diverse range of brands allows Full Glass Wine Co. to cater to different consumer preferences and offer a wide variety of wines from around the world.

Full Glass Wine, a brand acquisition management startup that specializes in acquiring wine marketplaces, has raised a $14 million Series A funding round to support its expansion efforts. This funding will help Full Glass Wine Co. continue to acquire new brands and grow its presence in the direct-to-consumer wine market.

A few other names that came up surprised me. I have considered myself a fan of these places for years but had no idea that they allowed B.Y.O.B. This acquisition by Full Glass Wine Co. opens up new opportunities for consumers to discover and enjoy new wines from Splash Wines and Scout & Cellar.

If you live far away and can't take Mom out to brunch, these gifts are the next best thing. With Full Glass Wine Co.'s expanded DTC portfolio, you can now treat your loved ones to a selection of premium wines from Splash Wines and Scout & Cellar, delivered right to their doorstep.
